another, other, the other, others, the others的用法區(qū)別

這些不定代詞總的特點是：它們不僅在含義上有單復數(shù)之分, 而且在用法上有泛指(無the)和特指 (有the)之別。其具體用法可歸納

1. 指單數(shù)時, 若是泛指用 another(若后接名詞一定是單數(shù)), 若是特指用 the other (若后接名詞一定是單數(shù))。如

She is cleverer than the other students in her class. 她比班上的其他學生要聰明些。(特指)

3. others (表泛指)永遠表示復數(shù)意義(且其后不能再接名詞), 其用法大致相當于“other＋復數(shù)名詞”。同樣地 the others(表特指)也永遠表示復數(shù)意義(其后也不能接名詞), 大致相當于“the other＋復數(shù)名詞”。
