■so that 的用法。意為“結(jié)果”

We’re all here now, so that the meeting can begin at last. 我們現(xiàn)在都到齊了，終于能開會(huì)了。

I went to the lecture early so that I got a good seat. 我去聽演講去得很早，所以找了個(gè)好座位。

■so…that 的用法。意為“如此…以至于…”，其中的 so 后接形容詞或副詞

He’s so clever that he learns English very quickly. 他很聰明，英語(yǔ)學(xué)得很快。

He  runs so fast that none of us can catch up with him. 他跑得很快，我們沒一個(gè)能追上他。

■such…that 的用法。意為“如此…以至于…”，其中的 such 后接名詞(名詞前通常有形容詞修飾)

It gave him such a shock that his face turned white. 這使他那樣震驚，他臉都白了。

He is such a clever boy that we all like him. 這個(gè)孩子這樣聰明，我們都喜歡他。

引導(dǎo)結(jié)果狀語(yǔ)從句的so that, so…that, such…that中的 that 在口語(yǔ)中有時(shí)可以省略。
