1.allow

(1)   allow sb. to do sth.

Mother allowed me to go out last night.

Teachers don’t allow students to talk in class.

(2)   allow doing

They don’t allow smoking.

No one allows smoking.

(3)be allowed to do sth.

Students should be allowed to make decisions for themselves.

I am allowed to play games every day.

No one was allowed to have a rest just now.

2.care about(關(guān)心)  worry about(擔(dān)心)  be serious about(在乎)

3.clean up(打掃)  stay up(熬夜)

4. agree to, agree with

agree 可用作不及物動(dòng)詞，也可用作及物動(dòng)詞，漢譯都是“同意”，但實(shí)際含義不同。作不及物動(dòng)詞時(shí)，agree to 為參加者對(duì)提議表示同意，agree with 指兩個(gè)人或兩個(gè)人以上的人協(xié)調(diào)一致，持同一意見，agree on 是雙方商定。例如：

He agreed to my plan.

他同意了我的計(jì)劃。

Do you agree to this arrangement?

你同意這個(gè)安排嗎？
