　　自立 self-dependence

　　Tough is making the decision to replace self-pity , complaints and dependence with self-reliance , independence and action .

　　頑強(qiáng)就是做出決定用自強(qiáng)、自立和具體行動(dòng)來(lái)取代自憐、怨天尤人和依賴。

　　勤奮 diligence

　　If your talent combines with diligence , you can excel in your pursuit .

　　如果你把天賦與勤奮結(jié)合起來(lái)，你所追求的事業(yè)便會(huì)出類(lèi)拔萃。

　　恒心 perseverance

　　Perseverance can sometimes equal genius in its results .

　　毅力在效果上有時(shí)能同天才相比。

　　幸福 happiness

　　The secret to happiness is to keep setting yourself new challenges .

　　幸福的秘訣就是要不停地給自己設(shè)定新的挑戰(zhàn)。

　　不斷努力 make constant efforts

　　Undoubtedly the cartoon conveys the meaning that life is like the process of running in which one should make constant efforts and never stop making progress .

　　毫無(wú)疑問(wèn)，這幅畫(huà)顯示了人生就像跑步的過(guò)程一樣，人們應(yīng)該做出不斷的努力，而且決不要停止前進(jìn)。

　　缺乏自信 lack of confidence

　　Lack of confidence is almost as worst as low self esteem .

　　保持樂(lè)觀 keep optimistic

　　So long as we keep optimistic , confident and courageous and begin again , victory is not far away from us.

　　悲觀的 pessimistic

　　There is no reason to be pessimistic about the future .

　　積極態(tài)度 positive attitude

　　Take immediate action to make these changes with enthusiasm and a positive attitude .

　　立即采取行動(dòng)，以飽滿的熱情和積極的態(tài)度實(shí)現(xiàn)這些轉(zhuǎn)變。

　　消極態(tài)度 negative attitude

　　Negative attitude may make you depressed , disappointed , querulous at your life , and make you self-close , restrict and kill your own potential .

　　消極心態(tài)使人沮喪、失望，對(duì)生活和人生充滿了抱怨，自我封閉，限制和扼殺自己的潛能。

　　取得成功 succeed , achieve success

　　The great thing is to show willing; whether you succeed or not does not matter .

　　主要的問(wèn)題是是否愿意做，至于成功與否倒沒(méi)關(guān)系。

　　It's how you deal with failure that determines how you achieve success .

　　你如何對(duì)待失敗決定了你你如何取得成功。

　　害怕失敗 fear to lose

　　In the rat race，they try every means to stay on the top and the fear to lose the game inevitably wrecks their peace of mind .

　　在這種殘酷的競(jìng)爭(zhēng)中，他們使出渾身解數(shù)力求成功，由于害怕在競(jìng)爭(zhēng)中失敗而無(wú)法保持平和的心態(tài)。

　　自我實(shí)現(xiàn) individual self-realization

　　In this manner , through free and creative play , individual releases his or her negative emotion and feeling , activates the psyche self-healing power , and achieves self-realization .

　　通過(guò)這種自由的創(chuàng)造性游戲方式，個(gè)體宣泄其消極情緒、情感，激活心靈自我治愈力，達(dá)到自我實(shí)現(xiàn)。

　　不遺余力去做某事 spare no efforts/pains to do, make great effort

　　They are determined to spare no efforts to scale the peaks in science and technology .

　　他們決心全力攀登科技高峰。

　　We should spare no pains to construct whole , harmonious and sustained society of harmony in China .

　　努力構(gòu)建我國(guó)全面、協(xié)調(diào)、可持續(xù)發(fā)展的和諧社會(huì)。

　　We should make great effort together , building up a natural home of diapason together .

　　我們應(yīng)該一起努力，共同建立一個(gè)和諧的自然家園。

　　堅(jiān)持不懈地做某事 be persistent with sth./do with full persistence

　　Being patient while persistent with your goals is of utmost importance in negotiations of any kind .

　　在任何一種談判中，你對(duì)自己的談判目標(biāo)得抱有耐心，又得持之以恒，這一點(diǎn)非常重要。

　　Take on difficulties with persistence and patience .

　　以堅(jiān)持與忍耐來(lái)承擔(dān)困難。

　　盡一切努力取得成功 try every means to stay on top

　　In the rat race , they try every means to stay on the top , and the fear to lose the game inevitably wrecks their peace of mind .

　　在這種殘酷的競(jìng)爭(zhēng)中，他們使出渾身解數(shù)力求成功，由于害怕在競(jìng)爭(zhēng)中失敗而無(wú)法保持平和的心態(tài)。

　　經(jīng)得住挑戰(zhàn)與困難 stand up to/ withstand challenges and difficulties
