　　這道題難在第二段的第一句話，即It is difficult to the point of impossibility for the average reader under the age of forty to imagine a time when high-quality arts criticism could be found in most big-city newspapers.這句話幾乎把所有考生都讀暈了。但接下來用了個(gè)Yet轉(zhuǎn)折詞，后邊的大致含義就是20世紀(jì)出版的評(píng)論集內(nèi)容的很大一部分就是報(bào)紙?jiān)u論。今天去讀這種評(píng)論集就驚奇這樣一個(gè)事實(shí)，即評(píng)論集的博學(xué)內(nèi)容曾經(jīng)被認(rèn)為是適合在日?qǐng)?bào)上發(fā)表的。答案的出處很明顯，肯定在yet之后。與此部分相關(guān)的選項(xiàng)只有D，并且把第二段的第一句話中的under age of forty替換為young。所以確定無疑是選D。

　　為什么不選B?B的含義是對(duì)的，但不是正確答案。若題干為從第一段中能得出什么，那就肯定是選B了。但題干問的是第一段和第二段中的含義是什么。所以不能選B。
