10 Study the following drawing carefully and write an essay in which you should:
1. describe the drawing,
2. interpret its meaning, and
3. make your comment.
You should write 160~200 words neatly on ANSWER SHEET 2.
該文可分為三段來(lái)寫。第一段描述圖畫。第二段指出該圖所揭示的社會(huì)現(xiàn)象。第三段是一個(gè)高度濃縮的段落,可以將原因分析和解決辦法結(jié)合起來(lái)。In the picture, an old woman in shabby clothes says to her son in the car: “I havent received support payments from you for more than a year.” The son responds: “Mom, dont you see that we have just bought a car?” Sitting besides him is his fat wife holding a pet dog.
This phenomenon is not the least uncommon in todays society. Parents devote all their money, time and energy into bringing up their children—they are willing to do everything for their children. But as for the children, many of them take parents love and sacrifice for granted. When they grow up, they will have their own jobs and their own families, and some of them will find all kinds of excuses not to support their old parents.
In my belief, this unfavorable phenomenon signals the failure of both school and family education. When some teachers are concentrating on the performance of children in local, provincial and national examinations, how can students learn practical skills, responsibility and gratitude? Parents should let the children get in touch with the society step by step from a very young age—sending them to study in a different city is a good choice. Independent life will help them know the hardship that parents have been through—in this case they are more likely to make full preparations for the harsh competitions ahead and stand up to lifes challenges upon graduation. Only in the way can their education be meaningful and the above annoying scene be avoided.第一段對(duì)圖畫進(jìn)行了描述,其中support payments指“贍養(yǎng)費(fèi)”。第二段的首句是統(tǒng)領(lǐng)句,語(yǔ)氣很強(qiáng),說(shuō)明該現(xiàn)象的普遍性。而后分父母與子女兩方面來(lái)描述當(dāng)前的現(xiàn)狀。注意第二句中破折號(hào)的用法。末句中的support指贍養(yǎng)!案顿狆B(yǎng)費(fèi)”可用pay support,所以該句最后可寫作“…not to pay support for their old parents”。
第三段第一句一針見(jiàn)血地指出了該現(xiàn)象的原因是學(xué)校和家庭教育的雙重失敗。而后先說(shuō)教師,如果他們專注于學(xué)生在各種考試中的表現(xiàn),又怎能教會(huì)他們實(shí)用的技能、責(zé)任感和感恩呢?該句后半部分是反問(wèn)句,效果很強(qiáng)烈。同時(shí)兼有提示正確做法的作用——學(xué)校應(yīng)重點(diǎn)教會(huì)學(xué)生能力、責(zé)任感和感恩。第三句講父母應(yīng)讓孩子從很小的時(shí)候就開(kāi)始逐步接觸社會(huì)。第四句講獨(dú)立生活能讓他們了解父母曾經(jīng)經(jīng)歷的苦難,這樣他們就更可能對(duì)未來(lái)的激烈競(jìng)爭(zhēng)做好準(zhǔn)備,并在畢業(yè)時(shí)能勇敢面對(duì)人生的挑戰(zhàn)。最后一句是倒裝句做結(jié)語(yǔ),語(yǔ)氣很強(qiáng):只有這樣教育才會(huì)有意義,上面的場(chǎng)景才能避免。一幅圖畫描述的是單一的場(chǎng)景,可是它反映的卻是社會(huì)現(xiàn)象或人生哲理。所以我們首先應(yīng)將該現(xiàn)象或哲理進(jìn)行準(zhǔn)確描述,而后對(duì)其進(jìn)行分析。
分析的最高境界是“深入淺出”。分析中包含原因與辦法很常見(jiàn),在這里將兩者整合卻是一種難度較大的做法。這樣做可以避免重復(fù),用簡(jiǎn)潔的話語(yǔ)表達(dá)復(fù)雜的含義。
