天安門廣場

　　天安門廣場(Tiananmen Square)位于北京市中心，是世界上最 大的廣場。整個廣場東西寬500米，南北長880米�？偯娣e達44萬平方米。矗立在廣場中央的人民英雄紀念碑(Monument to the People's Heroes)是新中國誕生后在廣場修建的座建筑。天安門廣場與其周圍的建筑，被稱為中國的心臟，是舉行重大慶典的神圣之地。天安門廣場還是的旅游景點，每天都有大量的中外游客到此參觀旅游。

　　1.第1句中的“位于北京市中心”可處理為地點狀語，用過去分詞短語located at the center trf Bering City來表達，將第2個分句處理為句子的主干，使譯文主次分明。

　　2.第2句中，將“總面積達44萬平方米”處理為主干it coversa total area of...。“整個廣場東西寬500米，南北長 880 米”表伴隨狀態(tài)，可譯為分詞短語 measuring 880 metersnorth to south, said... east to west，動詞measure表“距離/長度/寬度為……”，用在此處生動形象。
