　　孟子(Mencius)是戰(zhàn)國時(shí)期(the Warring States Period )偉大的思想家、教育家。孔子去世100年后，孟子傳授并發(fā)展了孔子的學(xué)說，他的哲學(xué)思想與孔子是一脈相承的。孟子認(rèn)為人性本善，是社會(huì)的影響引發(fā)了道德的墮落，因此十分重視道德教育。孟子的母親在他的生命中扮演了重要的角色，她曾三度遷居，只為了幫助她的孩子找到一個(gè)合適的成長環(huán)境。

For that reason, he attachesgreat importance to moral education. Mencius'mother plays an important role in his life. Shemoved home three times only to find an environment that she felt was suitable for the child'supbringing.
