中國改革開放

　　自1978年開始實行改革開放(reform and opening-up)政策以來，中國經(jīng)濟建設(shè)取得了飛躍性的發(fā)展。從1997年開始，中國經(jīng)濟平均每年增長7.7%，使中國成為世界上經(jīng)濟發(fā)展速度最快的國家。2001年中國加入了世界貿(mào)易組織，加快了中國對外開放的進程。中國分別在2008年和2010年成功舉辦了奧運會和世博會(the World Expo)，贏得了世界對中國經(jīng)濟的關(guān)注和喝彩。中國將繼續(xù)走改革開放之路，保持經(jīng)濟持續(xù)(sustained)健康發(fā)展。

　　It has been growing at a rate of 7.7% per year on average since 1997, which makes China the country with the fastest economic growth.
