投訴信：表達(dá)寫信人對某一情況不滿。所有投訴信的共同特點是最終要求收信人幫助解決問題。如果題目設(shè)置了解決方案，考生一定要將它寫進(jìn)去;如果題目沒有設(shè)置解決方案，考生就應(yīng)當(dāng)在信中給出自己的解決方案，而且所提出的解決方案應(yīng)當(dāng)是與投訴的內(nèi)容相關(guān)，對某一點不滿就針對某一點提出解決方案。
寫作策略：
首段：說明與收信人的相關(guān)性，表明寫作意圖，在盡可能的情況下做到客觀禮貌，給讀信人留下好印象，并且始終牢記讀信人未必就是錯誤的責(zé)任人，他的合作對問題的解決至關(guān)重要。
主體段落：寫明投訴的原因，要展開說明，可以說具體的理由和由此帶來的后果 (現(xiàn)象結(jié)果說明法)。這樣展開就使信件的內(nèi)容顯得充實豐滿，也符合正常的交際習(xí)慣。
結(jié)尾段：提出解決方案，不需要展開，做到公正公平。此段應(yīng)該體現(xiàn)書信的禮貌原則，應(yīng)當(dāng)有類似的“如您能……，我將萬分感謝”的話語。這也是投訴信最能體現(xiàn)禮貌原則的地方。

I am writing to inform you that I wish to move into a new room next term. I would prefer a single room, as I find the present sharing arrangement inconvenient.
I must explain that the reason for my dissatisfaction is my roommate’s inconsiderate behavior. First of all, his friends are constantly visiting him; what is intolerable is that he regularly holds noisy parties. In addition, he sometimes borrows my stuff without asking me. In these situations, I find it difficult to concentrate on my studies, and I am falling behind in my assignments.
